can anybody recommend some?

The free ExpressPCB (http://www.expresspcb.com/) also comes with ExpressSCH which is easy to make nice looking schematics with.

I think Eagle, while a great professional level program, is too complicated to learn to use. At least it was for me! He said he is looking for a simple schematic program.

I tried express pcb and it was very hard. We need a drag and drop schematic program lol. Something simple like diy layout creator but for schematics. Looks Like I will keep hand drawing them so it looks like I a. Bring productive and keeping a journal or making a list or something lol

The only schematic I have put up on this board were done with TinyCad:

with this image:

It is as obnoxious as any CAD program, but probably no worse than most and the typical pedal does not exceed its limits.

I highly recommend Diptrace. It has a great tutorial and I was drawing schematics after about an hour. It's free for non pro use up to a limited amount of connections.  Forget how many but plenty for most pedals.

Express pcb / Express sch are VERY simple to use.
Just find the components you need in the library and save them as favorites and you
have all you need. Just place them and drag and drop. Draw a line between two components...
Nothing much simpler than that.

^^^ Tim - It's also very easy to modify and/or create custom symbols and components. I made a bunch you are welcome to use. Just let me know if you end up trying ExpressPCB/SCH and I'll send you the download links and how to make and install custom stuff.

I'll also recommend Eagle. To get started, take a look at the vids here: http://tangentsoft.net/elec/movies/
