hey guys..
i just finished my etching...
i liked the black color that stayed on the letters....
could i keep it and spray lacquer over it or this would just crack it and oxidize etc etc?

hi tasos...looking good...

dab some black paint in there....then sand flat(block)..one direction...then clearcoat it!..

it'll bring out the etch nice..more defined!...

i like that it is not one color....there is some dark and some bright grey...
would i have a problem this way?cracking the clear coat or something?

ok...itl go a little darker anyway with clear...

just spray light coats at first...make sure its really clean though......get a toothbrush in there....

use a block to sand it as well...get rid of those diagonal scratches... ;)

Depending on what you use to clean, you may end up removing the oxidation that you like.

I know that acetone will discolor/remove the oxidation.

First pedal in a long time.....had to take some time off for life..   :D

This is the first pedal in my "Functional Art" series of pedals.  It incorporates an old well known optical illusion picture.
