Another Schematic Redraw, You can build either the Deluxe Super Space Drum or 9V Battery Model with this schematic. Not Fully Checked but Good at a Glance. One resistor at the Top Right I can't read the Value of on the Schematics I have... 2 or 3 something, i'd guess 2k2 or 3k3.

According to an Electro Harmonix Price List Mark Hammer posted, this was apparently used by 'The Clash'  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks for all these re draws Scruffie! I hate to be demanding but do you think you'll be doing any layouts in the forum! So far I'm layout impaired!

I just built a kit based clone of the Synare Sensor one of my all time favorite pieces of kit - a nice 80s synth drum.

I hope to build the EHX ones as companion synth drums!

I'm working with Scruffie on some layouts for these redraws, but I'm pretty slow at it and I can't promise they will be the most compact layouts in the world. But again, they may take a bit.

As Barcode Said, I'm working with him to get some Layouts out there (I'll send you another batch of schematics tommorow  ;) ) Once i've redrawn everything that needs doing and i've traced what needs tracing, then i'll have time to work on layouts, i'll try and take care of a few veros and hopefully others will chime in with PCB layouts to save me learning to make etchable layouts cause that would take even longer... plus if I can get breadboarding help then i'll try and arrange more PCB runs for the larger projects (Anyone willing to Help with a Deluxe Octave Multiplexer, I need you!  ;D ) there's already a fabbed PCB project in the Pipe Line though.

Hopefully i'll be able to create a full EHX Drum Kit by the end of all this!

While we're here Barcode, Can I make one little request... could you make the PCB layouts have Board Mounted Pots :icon_mrgreen:

If anyone else wants to help and thinks they can with the EHX Pedals, send me a PM, it'd be appreciated, there's a lot to go through and alot of conversions to available parts need verifying.

EHX of this era was crazy for 3094s that's for sure...

If there's anything I can contribute, I will, but I'm probably at the very bottom of the diy skill set totem pole here

I know... that's one big problem to overcome, I have to convert and verify everything, without a great knowledge of OTAs, that's why I need help (And CA3094s if anyone has them spare! Easier to verify schematics with the correct parts before galavanting off with conversions)

Well, if you don't think you can breadboard, layout or trace, there's always one thing anyone can do, find more Gutshots & Schematics! None of the Factory Schematics are Guaranteed to be correct and sometimes there are multiple schematics of one pedal, Gutshots help to verify them... or give me money, lots and lots of money, there's always that  :icon_mrgreen:

I'll see what I can dig up!

Has this page been exhausted as far as schems for the desired circuits?

http://www.experimentalistsanonymous.com/diy/index.php?dir=Schematics
It hadn't been no, but I think the copies there are the same as I already have, the Two Schematics I don't have anything for at all yet are The Rolling Thunder & Panic Button (Although I do have very nice gut shots thanks to Marmora, but a Schematic would help me trace alot faster as i've never traced before)
After accidently running across The Hand Clap schematic yesterday, I wouldn't rule them being out there, as I was actually searching for something completely different when I found that one!

Also Gut Shots can be found quite deep in the internet, I got a few PCB side shots of the Super Space Drum from a Japanese site quite alot of pages into google, it atleast allowed me to verify the correct amount of chips & transistors which is better than nothing, also some people may have mentioned owning the units but not seen the thread, so it's always worth a quick PM I think if someone's mentioned it.

Strategy

I'll poke around on electro-music.com forum where a number of schematic hounds troll. like the alternate universe of diystompboxes.com, similar community with more synths, less pedals ( but still a good pedal contingent there) and far fewer posts about Scarlet Johanson.

MoltenVoltage

Maybe they are using a couple of them with the external triggers during this performance, but even if they aren't, the Clash rock!

Scruffie

Someone contacted me recently on this forum and has kindly converted this pedal to work with the LM13700 for me (And all you!) and provided a schematic and PCB layout to share (Thanks Andreas if you're reading this! :) ).

So here's the schematic and the PCB... I can't work out Eagle though so if someone knows how to post the PCB Transfer, i'll do that too  :icon_mrgreen:

Here we go!

FUZZZZzzzz

wow.. nice one! been looking to build this beast.. is there a pcb transfer available? i like the onboard pot design

but if anyone is willing to help that would be great!

Hi, if you send it over to me I can export and correct some bad layouts on that board. I would be glad to help!
It would be good idea to try out the schematic on a Perfboard.

Upload it somwhere or send it by e-mail to:

View > Display/hide layers

and only highlight layers relevant to a transfer, in this case 'bottom' and 'pads.' I usually print a 1:1 pdf if i want to share transfer negatives.

I've got confused. The schematic/Eagle images are for the Super Drum as per the thread title?
