Has anyone ever used a MAX412EPA+ opamp?  Would it have an audible difference over an OPA2134, particularly in an Orange Squeezer?  I'm mainly asking because of this: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/burnt-fingers-diy-effects/145375-cleanest-orange-squeezer-planet-guitar-effect-demo-i-built.html

I can get one for about $10.  Would this make a difference in other circuits as well, especially for noise, over something like a TL072?

The MAX has over 100 times more input noise current, so no. It is likely to be much more noisy than a TL07x in a guitar pedal, especially if the guitar is fed directly into the opamp as it is with the Orange Squeezer.
