Strange Happening With My Newer MXR Dyna Comp

Hi all,

I'm assuming some of the members here own a newer (99-2007 era) MXR Dyna Comp w/LED. So perhaps those of you that do can help.

Tonight at rehearsal I was setting up my board, plugging in my stomps, and I went though my pedals making sure they worked. My Dyna started making a motor boat & distorted sound when on. It has never, never done that! Then when I activated my wah it was messed up too. Well, it turned out the pot in the wah wasn't mounted to the casing. So, I finger tightened it and it started working. Strange thing is, my Dyna was back to normal too!

How is that possible? I had a TS808 in front of the Dyna but after my wah, but the 808 was unaffected. Strange, huh?

Has anyone had a similar prob with their Dyna Comp? Could it have been just the wahs pot that caused the strange sound from my comp?
