EHX Holy Grail scratchy pot?

Hi.

I have a problem. A Friend sent me his holy grail. Its pot scratched like hell and poped if turned. So I replaced it with Alpha. But it still scratches. And that's really annoying. Does any of you have a Holy Grail? Is it supposed to work like that? (like Zvex super Hard on) Or the pot i bought is not good enough? I never had problems with Alpha parts.

Sounds like it has DC leaking into the pot.  Have you checked for that?

So i should measure with multimeter and if I get any value of DC voltage, then this is the reason?

Can it be guessed, where the DC is coming from?
