TIP: Fading LED out when battery is going flat

Just sharing a trick that I don't see implemented into circuits for some reason. This will fade the LED out when the battery is going flat:

Thanks Darron,

I'd never thought of doing this but it looks like a very good idea.  :)
I remember seeing a way of making a two-colour LED change colour when voltage drops between a certain threshold.
I'll see if I can dig the info out on that.

Most Boss pedals use this idea since the 80's.

i haven't pulled apart many boss pedals, but i can imagine that (:
