I'd like to have a forum or thread devoted to user videos/music links

I'd like to have a forum or thread devoted to links to member videos or music. Not so much as to promote the member, but more so that we can all get to know who is behind the pseudonym. I think it would be cool to share a performance that you just had or some music that you just made. Just wondering if a big thread is enough, or should it be some kind of forum?

It,s tantamount to the "pictures" thread in many ways.  If that can thrive as a mere thread then I suspect this can too.

I think it should be a sticky, but a thread could work fine. A lot of the posts would be links to the band's page or a myspace page, etc.

well, as i have said i another topic, i am opposed to more subheadings as separate forums. so, a thread ( we already have one?) is nice.

thinking that too many sub-forums gets everything too diluted, based on observing various forums' rise and fall patterns over the years.

in light of the current videos thread's great content but sometimes infrequent posting rate, having it be a sticky would be a great idea IMHO. And +1 on embedding.

I voted 'forum' because, at 809 pages and counting, the Pictures thread is as popular as it is unmanageable. The majority of cool stuff in there is just sort of lost or buried, maybe never to be seen, found or searched up again. At least folks have the option of starting threads for their own stuff or certain types of pictures/builds.

But either way, just having a dedicated place to post and embed audio/video is a great idea. Can't wait to see it!

would it be at all possible to have some sort of random slideshow generated by and visible only on the picture thread scroll across the top of those pages with links to the relevant post, kinda like a banner ad? just thinking out loud, may be a bad idea...

as long as we dont get lots of web cam mics...or mobile phones  for video.....they sound @#$%ing terrible and give no idea of 'actual' sound...

i dont expect 'spielberg' productions....but you know what i mean...
