I've got a maxon made Ibanez TS-9 that I'm doing some modding to.I was going to change out the 2 tantalum caps from this mod sheet;http://www.planeteleven.net/tubescrmr/images/ts9mods_graphic.jpg  The tantalum caps are polarized, but can you use the polyester film caps that are not polarized?

The caps don't need to be polarised, so yeah you can replace them with film. Whether doing it makes any difference is another thing entirely :)

Cool! Thanks!Supposedly it get's rid of some of the "graininess" from the pedal.

Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

Why do you want to change the tants?
If you do remove them save them you might want to put them back.
Will the TS be used live on stage at volume?

From what I've read the polyester film caps sound better.I changed them out yesterday, and i can attest the poly film caps do sound better.Very sublte, but i can tell the difference.Yeah,I use it on stage live, and in the studio.
