I bought a Marshall Jackhammer pedal just for the purpose of modding it.Not the greatest sounding pedal in the world,but i noticed it seems to loose a lot of highs on the dist. side.Is there some way of gettting more treble on the dist. side?Here's the schematic;http://diystompboxes.com/pedals/schems/JH-1.pdf

So much time since posted...

Well, here´s what I´ve done to mine:

D2 added another red 3mm LED in series
D5 removed
D4 added 5 diodes (1N914) like shown in the picture

The red diode is shown for orientation reasons and should be removed.
btw, the Marshall JMP-1 schem shows the same diode configuration for clipping  :icon_wink:

You could also take 1N4148, but they sounded quite fizzy to me, when turning the gain up

IC 1 --> NE5532 (socket)
IC2 + IC3 RC4558P (socket)

C22 changed to 560pf

The DIST channel has a similar frequency to the OD channel now.
It has tons of distortion (normally I´d turn the gain up to about 2 o´clock)
Sounds like a "Jackhammer" the contour and tone pots seem to work better (imho) and you´ll get some really bad sounds out of it
Give it a try!
tell me, if you liked it, or not.
regards
