Hi. I have a 1970's Triangle muff. It has a replacement pot fiited on the sustain that has a detachable shaft, to take the knob of you just lift it out of the pot complete with shaft.

Well the knob is one ugly MF and I'm desperate to get a different pot back into the muff so I can put my original knob back on.

I can only find the 100kA at smallbear http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=812. If I bought one of these and managed to locate a D shaft would I be able to remove the short shaft from the smallbear and drop the d shaft into the  pot?

Alternatively does anyone one know a source for the d shaft long leg pots?

Thanks.

Call EH/ New Sensor, they might sell you a replacement.

I believe those "D" shaft, PCB mounted pots are only order-able in large quantities from CTS, which is what EH did back then. The best you can get on your own is a lugged, plastic shaft CTS pot and modify it to be a D-shaft (the plastic ones are easy to modify, as opposed to the metal shaft types). Here is an example:

http://www.tubesandmore.com/     (... potentiometers > CTS > Audio > "R-VC-A")

I mention this website as an example because they don't have 100kA as the value you need, but 250kA may be suitable.

Strange

I have one of these pedals sitting on my bench. When it came to me, it was inpieces and missing alot of hardware including the nuts and washers from the pots. I am guessing these are the original CTS pots and are 24 mm. Can I purchase THESE from Small Bear as replacements? If not, can anyone direct me to a place I can purchase replacements? I am also looking for replacement nuts and washers for a Deluxe BM with plastice split pots.

Thanks and sorry for the hijack.
