I have an enclosure with an etched copper plate attached on the top with an adhesive I cannot easily remove. I'd like to remove the clearcoat I sprayed on the copper and use liquid tin to make the plate silver. Anyone know if this will damage the finish? (black spray paint)

There is no way to know without knowing the exact chemical composition of the paint and the tinning compound.

Assume it will, or, as all the labels say, try it on an inconspicuous surface first. One really good inconspicuous surface is the one that you spray with stuff from the same can as the real pedal, but that is not the real pedal you want to protect.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

The spaypaint I used was Rustoleum flat black. The liquid tin does not seem to affect the paint at all.
