When someone says "Short out the resistor" in a circuit,What does that mean exactly?Does it mean to remove the resistor,or to just clip the 2 leads?

.Mike

It means to connect one end of the resistor to the other end of the resistor, making the resistor the equivalent of a piece of wire.

Hey Mike,So do you mean to put the resistor through the 2 holes on the pcb,and then solder the 2 ends together but not soldering it to the board?

.Mike

You can remove the resistor and put in a jumper wire.

Or, you can tack-solder a jumper wire from one side of the resistor to the other.
