Hi everyone. I've lurked on here long enough, learned a lot from reading the various posts, and now I need a little advice/help.

I'm half way through a little project of mine, and I want to add a rebote to my collection (not the 2 or 2.5). Schematic here - http://www.6v6power.ru/inf/Delay/Rebote%20Delay%20%28PT2399%29.jpg

My question is, as I already have a 5v source (therefore not needing the 5v regulator), is it possible to omit Q1 and go straight into the first 4.7 electro that comes off it, or is Q1 essential for the operation of the effect?

Any help or advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Wayne

Oh boy, do I feel stoopid....  :icon_redface:

Nevermind the question, I see now what's going on! That'll teach me for not looking properly!

You would've thought that after building a coloursound inductorless wah, e-z drive, beginner project booster, valvelitzer (using 12fq8, from instructables) and the one chip/one knob chorus...

I need coffee...

yes but what Q1 does??? haha
Its amplifying the audio input signal?

pancra - it looks to me to be a high impedance buffer/amp. high input impedance to the outside world, low-ish output impedance to the following circuit, with some small gain.
don't make me draw another line.
