Taptation Tap Tempo Kit stupid question?

"This is a brand new custom controller written by The Tone God. With this controller you can get tap tempo and modulation with your PT2399."

So i assume this is NOT a PT2399, it is a PT2399 with a different 'program' into it, right?

Just wondering as i found PT2399 for 3 euros on a european store, i assume it's not the same product...

It's actually a separate chip to use with a PT2399 to allow for tap-tempo implementations. It's neither a PT2399 nor a PT2399 with a different 'program' on it.
