Well, based on history.... It looks like this thread should reach page 1000 sometime around late August or early September. Should be plenty of time I would think This just shows that you don't know what I'm planning to build I fear it won't be finished before the end of the world Edit: PAGE TEN, lets see those page ten nail clippers.

I must be living a boring life. My nail clippers are old fashion. Maybe I'll get some Hello Kitty clippers to match my Hello Kitty underwear.

Why should you not have 90o angles? Do the electrons bunch up in the corners?

Sure, let's make it 72 hours!
man i feel dumb tonight... so by 1000 posts, you mean: "« Reply #180 on: April 29," where reply would be #1000+? and 72 hrs afterwards? if that's the case i'm in as well and will send my $$$ saturday night. i'm going to build a no-brainer, my fave pedal but with 'end of world' type graphics/theme. what is the url for the pictures page where we must post our build? thanks.

NOT 1000 posts..... the competition entries need to be submitted when the Pictures thread reaches 1000 PAGES. It is sitting at about 966 now.

question.
say i have an old design, 4 years ish, and i want to totally redesign the circuit and heavily modify the art/techniques used, would that be allowed? it would ne an "heavily inspired by" rather than just a mod.of.an.old.circuit. in my mind, if using somebody elses design and making yr own pedal out of.it is allowed, then probably so should this. but i felt.i had to ask and make sure.
posted from my phone, hence the botched typing

I'm quite sure you can build a "stock" silicon fuzz face and enter, as long as it's built for the competition and has an end of world theme.

Quote: "You must build your pedal specifically for the competition - no 'previously built' entries please" I doubt that your entry would qualify as a "previously built" unit as you are heavily modding it however, I think it is good that you are getting clarification. We don't need no SCANDAL on our hands!!!

Just built by you. As long as you build it for this competition it can be any circuit.

We don't need no SCANDAL on our hands!!! yeah I'm still unsure exactly what it is I want to build. basically have an urge to redesign a ringmod inspired by my old one, and I'd like to stick with the old basic graphic and name, but after thinking about it, it's not very end-worldy. so right now I'm thinking of something else I'd like to do that isn't just a refresh of something else. 1. some kind of envelope followed bit-reduction thing with ducking that makes plucks/strums/sounds progressively sound worse and eventually sound like loud crackling fire 2. use the sierpinski triangle fractal generator I made and apply it to sound in some way 3. something that uses as many xr2206's as possible etc. I'll do some serious thinking tonight I think.
