...going out of business. I know there was another closure - Norvac closing --- and their stock going to Surplus Gizmos out in Hilllsboro/Aloha. The guy at Cascade mentioned they might try to get some of the stock over to Gizmos. Also, they said it's not because of the supposed lawsuit mentioned on their site, its because they are having trouble breaking even. I got a good deal on a buncha parts. Kinda sad. Rode my bike all the way out there too.*

Anyways Oregonians something to check if you're into surplus spots.

Nice (still sad, though)!  Thanks for the info.

I found that Norvac was good if you were in a bind and didn't want to order a bunch of parts from Mouser/Digikey.  Their prices were a little gougy, to be honest.  Good people, but it's a sign of the times...

It's getting harder and harder to find places to find components locally.  Portland is such a technologically forward thinking place, it's a dayum shame.
Check out my webpage http://www.diyaudiocircuits.com and send me suggestions about what you want to see!  I do all sorts of things with audio equipment, from guitar pedals to circuitbending to analog synthesizers.
