push one, no connection

push 2, red/white connect

push 3, red/white /black connect

push 4, red/black connect

for a lousy buck and a half...thinking this may be kinda useful somewhere!!   :icon_mrgreen:

i mean, you could do the pedal dance with just one pedal, rob...lol.

maybe step between gain changes? or combination of effects? i was thinking maybe a wahwah, set up as off, wah, volume, CV or something?

Nice! Wowyes, that is very cheap, Ive always wanted something small to switch between different caps on the guitar tone knob.

Edit: coil taps for hum bucking pickups!

Effect Loop Stitcher... use a microcontroller (or do it the hard way with cmos, like I would) and set your effects loops before hand... then you have 4 you can run through, just hitting the switch once.

Or use two, get creative with logic switching, and you can go 4 up or down, using one switch to move up, and one switch to... never mind, I'm thinking too hard, lol.

That is a pretty cool switch. I should order a couple of those and make something awesome so I can win Rob's toenail clippings!

i've got a good feeling it's not designed to be stepped on....

but yeah.... looks like it could replace rotary switches in some positions (:

maybe you could use it to switch the earth to different clippings, and also use that switched earth (-) to turn on the relevant LED. might be a bit cooler than turning a chicken head knob..
Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

The only drawback is that you have to cycle through to get to the position you want. Not so bad if you're in position 4, and need to get to 1. Not hot if you're in 1, and need to get to 4 (click, click, click...).

Rotary switch still seems to be a bit more "user friendly".

I do like the Effects Stitcher idea though. Maybe have a DIP switch(es) behind that, to predetermine the order?

Anywho, just my 2 bits  :icon_mrgreen:

That's about what I was thinking. You'd have 4 banks, if you only need 3 during a song, you only use three and run back to position 1 and set your next program. Definitely easier ways, but sometimes the novelty is what makes it worth considering.  ;D

I like it but I definitely wouldn't be stomping on it... looks like a great option over a toggle switch or switches!
Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

I was at Harbor Freight and found an item that I suspect uses these switches...

http://www.harborfreight.com/27-led-portable-worklight-flashlight-67227.html

First click turns on the array on the top, second click turns it off, third click turns on the front LED's, and a fourth clicks it back off again. I bet these would be nice to build an LED work lamp array... pushbutton brightness control. Just like the 3-way bulbs. Have a strip and you can turn on every 4th, every other, and all the LED's.  :icon_idea:
