Stumbled upon some older Reticon High and Low pass filters that were apparently used in the EH 16 second delay. Half of the chips are Reticon RF5609As.

Apparently, these were the hard to find item in these pedals (according to the limited amount of info I could find.)

Just wondering if anyone has heard of these mythical beasts or has had the please to use one.

Well, I have the re-issue and have played with the original and they are really fun pedals.  There are some major differences between them, the re-issue is just a work alike and even then it's only a work alike in the controls, the sound is pretty close though.  My complaint is with the four beat count in of the new one, especially since it sends a midi start command when you step on the button but doesn't start recording until 4 beats later, not good for syncing to a sequencer.  I know there's a firmware fix, but you have to ship it back and pay like $35 and I refuse to pay $350 for a pedal and then turn around and pay again to fix a flaw.

Enough complaining, it's a really fun pedal.  The Maneco Loopers http://manecolooper.tripod.com/ are based on it and that site you have has all the you need to clone one, it's a hefty undertaking, but I don't think many folks have done it.  If you like guys like Nels Cline and want to cop tones like that it's pretty essential.

I'll help however I can.

Thanks wavely!

I looked over the site as well. It is indeed a hefty job to clone one of these and with my present situation of multiple projects on the board AND the 1000 competition, I doubt I will undertake this...... alone at least  ;D

Looks about on-par with the Ludwig clone project. Maybe one of those fellows will chime in and offer some wisdom.

Mostly, I was just looking for any experience out there with this unit. Also, just putting the word out that I may have some replacement pieces to get someones "lost love" up and running again!  8)

CJ Landry is the only person I know of who works on those things.  You might see if he's interested in those chips.

Thanks Ron!

I sent him a message. Hoping he might be able to use them. I just don't have the time or energy to attempt a clone of this solely based on these chips  :o

Well.... Looks like I will still have these for a spell.

If anyone out there needs to resuscitate their EH 16 second delay then let me know and maybe I can help you out  ;D
