Any interest in DIY soundcard for guitar?

Hi,

Recently I've been using my guitar with logic and guitar plugins a lot and I figured out I may design a tiny soundcard adapted only for guitar use because I'm tired of using my big echo soundcard just for guitar in. It would have a nice DI adapted for guitar and headphone output. I'd like it to fit into 1290 enclosure and power it from usb. Think line6 guitar port, but cooler.
At this stage, I'd like to get your input on what DI is your favorite and if there is any interest in such a device. If there is enough people to justify a group buy of pcbs I'll proceed with design.
