yet again I'm all asking questions not giving answers guy. I'm having trouble building booster pedals. My issue is that with the two I attempted... http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/DRAGONFLY-LAYOUTS_0/album14/album143/EH_LPB1_001.gif.html
and http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/DRAGONFLY-LAYOUTS_0/album14/album143/AMZ+MUFFMASTER+VERO.GIF.html
.....the issue is my results aren't booster pedals but just the opposite. When I engage the effect my volume drops instead of increases and its a significant drop. I've tried a few different transistors for each attempt and the results vary but never is it close in volume as my original signal. The fact that I built two different boosts and had the same issue makes me think its not just a wrong value part but some silly mistake....and yes I had a few fresh batteries I ran my tests with (different brands even).

One that always gets me, no matter how many times... transistor is backwards?

I tried various transistors in both positions. As for the Transistor in the AMZ Muff....what direction is it suppose to be? I can't tell based on that image. I know for a fact based on a schematic I found for the LPB that I have had the right transistor in the right position.

Make sure you get the right datasheet for the part number AND brand. Occasionally pinouts are different between brands. That one had me stumped a while back.

Also, post your voltages! (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=29816.0)
