So I just populated a clone PCB of the original Univox Superfuzz -- and something is wrong.  It is passing a signal, but I have to turn the volume knob up virtually all the way to get unity gain.  Also, when I have the fuzz knob turned up all the way, the signal is very starved, fizzy, and quiet...turning the knob down a little bit restores volume but there's no fuzz coming through, it's a clean signal.  Any suggestions?

Firstly click here and do everything it says.

I had a problem like this with the first one I built, turned out the transistors were in backwards. Your transistor voltages should be around these values: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=64068.0
