I've used trimpot's in circuits, but only to set the voltage to transitors.I'm going to try using one in my crybaby to adjust the trimpot,so i can set it to where i like it.One question is,If the middle lug is on the bottom, and the outer 2 legs are on the top,Does it matter which leg of the outside top 2 ties to the middle leg?

Using it as a variable resistor, the only reason it should matter would be to have a logical sense to what the trimmer is doing i.e, raise/lower, louder/softer, etc. when turning to the left or right. I tend to test first with my DMM to decide which legs I'm going tie together, so that when I'm adjusting, I know which way to turn the trimmer to achieve the desired effect.
