Woo! Cheers for the bump. Never seen this thread before.  Come to think of it, I haven't seen much in the way of Soldano type stuff a around here. Every chance I'm just not looking hard enough though!

Any chance anyone still has a copy of the build docs/image transfer?

5 pots? Damn that'll be a squeeze for me.  Might use this as a test to see if I'm ready to take on Dead Astronauts Skinwalker.   That's said I should really debug some of my failures builds before I start something else!

Second..  I'd love to see it as well    :icon_mrgreen:

I may have mentioned it in a previous post but if not, I will mention it again... In that layout R4 should be 1k or 2k, something like that. R15 should be anywhere from 10k to 20k.. The components on the schematic only had the values so, that's why I am referring to the layout..  :icon_rolleyes:

Hi! i've made a pcb in Eagle for this same project.
i've used this schematic http://guitar-fx-layouts.42897.x6.nabble.com/Sweet-Revenge-Soldano-Avenger-Amp-Emulator-Verified-td41801.html , because the original in this topic is dead

Nice sounding circuit. But there is an error on the schematic, the 100K resistor that goes to the first trimpot has to be 100R i think. I just bridged that resistor and start sounding.
Jokerx, if you can post the original schematic to see if there is any difference would be great :)

Thanks you!

I'd like to know what is the right resistor.
How do this preamp sound? :D

it was 1k!

As for sound I could not test it much either, since I only had 50k instead of 100k trimpots, which does not let me correctly adjust the bias of each transistor. (I'm feeding it with 24v)
Maybe later I'll continue to build it, or maybe it will be there, in the drawer of projects, as this topic was hahaha

You could leave R4 out, not really needed in this circuit... Just throw a jumper in there.  If you only have 50k trim pots and they are not allowing you to bias you could stick 50k resistors in series with the trim pots and that should put you in bias range.

The schematic that Temol created in his build doc in post #48 has the corrections and the layout is great, as always!

Hi, J0K3RX.
The R4 you talk is right that resistor I talk? I'm sorry, I can't find any schematic with parts named, and I still need a confirm of the right value of that resistor: 100k, 100R, 1k or jumpered?
Could I get the link with the correct schematic, please?

A thing I'm doing now is try to compare the schematic with the verified veroboard on this previous linked page here: http://guitar-fx-layouts.42897.x6.nabble.com/Sweet-Revenge-Soldano-Avenger-Amp-Emulator-Verified-td41801.html
I see some difference, maybe just some irrelevant adjustment. A new part like 1N5817 diode in line to the 9v, then the 100uF  cap  to the ground (it's ok), and a 1.5k resistor before the 22uf cap to the ground.
So, I think that resistor is the one the elrengofa questioned initially, and so do I.
I guess it  should be definitely not a 100k, but it could be 1.5k, or less, or even 0R. Right?

Thanks! ;)
