Hi All,

You may remember a long-time forgotten post concerning a fuzz that I designed in less than one minute, which nonetheless worked correctly : The Minuteman Fuzz... It was in summer 2011. The topic still exists and can be deterred...

I found the time to built it yesterday, with a laser engraved face and a stompbox project re-use enclosure :

I used the VERO layout derived from my original schematic by Adriano "renegadrian". That gives a welcome very compact design :

I will prepare some sound samples and try to post it...

Yes ! Nice & Kind comparison :icon_smile:... I did not noticed that !

I was somewhat worried about the casing size of the 2N1613, and I am pretty sure that renegadrian thought these were smaller when he designed the VERO layout. So the "Umbrella" arrangement was the solution.

Here is a quick sample of The Minuteman FUZZ, to have an idea of the tone you can expect - I hope that its posting will work ! If not please let me know and/or direct me on how to proceed...

Amps = Fender SF Dlx-R and TW-R in //.
Guitar = 1980 Gibson ES-335, several PU selection.
No additional effect than the fuzz (and the spring reverb of the amps).

The amps are deep clean, playing at reasonable volume, here.
You can hear that it is a "cool" fuzz, with moderate gain but consistent tone in order to cut through the mix at any playing volume.
I forgot to let you hear the decay : it is very smooth, the fuzztone vanishes along with the note or the chord.
No gain control : you adjust it with the guitar volume.

It sounds really nice but I cant find the schematic or any other info with the search function.

Do you still have the schematic ?

Really nice Bruno, thanks for posting it! Good build, good sound, I like!

Very cool build. And I'm glad you didn't tell us that you made the box in one minute. That would have just been cruel.  :icon_wink:
