This pedal is like a Shaka HV but has 2 stages instead of one at the end. I think single FET stages might have a quicker response than the mu-amp type dual FET stages. This pedal unlike the HV, is run at 9V.

A great Music Electronics Forum thread on power supply capacitors for your amp. I used the balancing resistors on my 64′ Fender amp and it has worked great!
