Title: TL07x series - Happy running off 18 volts?
Post by: Ibanezsr500 on March 16, 2013, 03:05:33 AM
Hey guys,

Just wondering if the TL07x series is happy running off 18V? According to the datasheet 18V is the maximum it can take. Will it be happy at 18-19V? I'm using my Onespot with a Max1044 voltage doubler, so the output voltage is slightly higher than usual.

Thanks!

Datasheet says max supply voltage is +/- 18V. IF you are only using the charge pump to generate 0-18V, then you are fine as you will need to bias to half that and will effectively have +/-9V.

it worked at +/- 12 on my blues breaker

36V is the most it can take.  All voltage is relative.

Cool, thanks guys. I only want to run it in 18V for a bit more headroom. It sounds like it should take it fine.
