Title: Buy A Bare Box #1, Get A Bare-Ass Boost PC Board
Post by: smallbearelec on May 22, 2013, 11:11:51 PM
I finished my design for this PCB and have built on it and tested it. My PCB fab charges for a minimum of 10 pieces, so I have 9 prototype ready-to-solder boards that only require cutouts. I would like to see these in good hands, so an offer: The next nine orders that include a Bare Box #1 (yes, you get the Sale price of $7.50) will get one of these boards at no extra charge.

The layout is here:

This is clearly not full documentation; I will do the usual beginner-level how-to-build-it article a little later after I get made production boards and a finished enclosure. For now, I figure that someone who has done a few builds should be able to work from the pics and have a useful pedal for cheep.

Regards
SD

Very cool. I'd like to try designing with these connectors, was it designed in Eagle? If so, do you have or know what library to use for them?

I did use EAGLE, but I did not use a library. The pins are on .100" centers, so I just put down pads  and made sure that I left enough room on top to accommodate the housings. The connectors are Molex SPOX, so there probably is a library for them.
