i would like to make a small circuit to clne the signal , one in two out , for line level .
Feed the input signal to two buffers and you'll get two outputs. Look here (http://www.muzique.com/lab/splitter.htm) for Jack Orman's version with jfet buffers. You can apply the same logic to op-amps buffers as well.
RG mentioned in another thread that a simple opamp buffer with two 1k series resistors (one for each output) was more than sufficient.
First try just connecting them together.
Very often this works fine.
If the source is load-sensitive (electric guitar), it may not work fine.
If one load is shorted, both loads lose signal.
In those cases you may want to buffer the source, or even buffer each load.
Yep. The output of most line level gear is plenty low-Z to split to two typical line ins. It is quite literally already buffered. Adding another buffer is generally pointless.

i had merely " joined two as one " with the output of a zoom b2 , then an alesis sr18 drum machine and the amp ceased to function ... maybe it was something else that killed it , but , from here out i will try that again , and if i run into a problem i will monkey around a bit . thank you all very much .
Wait! Are you trying to MIX two line outs to a single input? That's a completely different deal. It needs resistors at least, and may need an active stage for makeup gain after. It might (but probably won't) damage one or both sources, and definitely won't function correctly with just straight wire.
