Title: Tremulus Lune question
Post by: Kipper4 on December 27, 2013, 04:24:46 PM
I'm building my first tremulus lune.
Which diodes should i use for the symetry mod please. 1N4148?
Im using a 500k pot for the symetry is that correct?
I think i saw it in Chromospheres video. I've had a beer since.
I rolled my own vactrol as i did for the lightwah Bright yellow 5mm led and ldr I'm not sire i wired it up right . My dumb ass forgot to mark up the anode on the led before i shrink wrapped it and cut them off.
I have space to rewire if its wrong but i want to know if it will harm the vactrol if i strike it up and the polarity on the leds wrong?

Hm, I'm not totally sure about the possible LED damage. 500k is correct for the symmetry knob, looks like according to the parts list, it is linear taper.

Thanks buddy
I found this

http://commonsound.org/tremulus/symmetry.pdf

ignored the 1n400x advice and used some 1n914's i had in stock.
anyway i just finished the offboard wiring so its test time.
If I come back crying in a few minutes . I got it wrong. Heres hoping.

Sorted.
It was the vactrol Led pinout thing.
It sounds good and has lots of tweekability.
Play time in the morning. Night all.
Time for a dart first as my buddy Jake says.
