Title: Clipping mod question
Post by: elliold on March 16, 2014, 07:01:59 PM
Long time lurker first time poster...

If I wanted to install a switch on a pedal to choose between asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping which would be the correct way to do it?

Can I install a SPST switch that effectively jumps one of the diodes or do I have to use a SPDT switch to choose between a jumper or the diode?

Thanks!

Either way will work fine to bypass a diode. Welcome!

you could go with a dpst/dt too and switch between complete clippers of different types. any way you do it that works is right.
