Title: 301 Flanger power supply
Post by: peterg on May 20, 2014, 01:31:47 PM
Is there any reason that a 12 volt power supply won't work with this circuit? Could the 12 volt regulator be removed from the Tonepad layout and replaced with a jumper?

You'll burn the expensive BBD and clock gen. only if you exceed 15V.

You can remove the 78(L)12 for a jumper, you'd better put a zener to GND, at least, you know... just in case...

That was quick Federico!

There is a 1N914 from power to ground on the board. Is another diode needed from power to ground? I've not had a lot of experience with Zeners.

Sorry...
I meant a 12V zener 1/2W or 1W.
It will limit exceeding voltage
