Title: Geek Score
Post by: karbomusic on December 08, 2014, 05:45:20 PM
I use my credit card instead of my bank card for security reasons. That means almost every purchase I make goes there then I just pay the balance at the end of the month. Apparently that creates lots and lots of bonus CC points which I used to get this little fella which just arrived today:

So far it works great and has about a 36" extension on the camera. Keep the comments clean fellas this is NOT a personal colonoscopy tool!  :icon_eek:

Where do you plug your guitar into?

Can you provide a sound sample?

No but I can now peer into that 1/4 inch jack and see inside. :)

You can troubleshoot your builds without opening the enclosure.  I like it!   ;D

Just saw that or a similar one on sale at Harbor Freight! Should be in whatever the most recent email they sent out was.

Can you look down your throat with it when you swallow guitar picks?

I have a similar butt-scope, except USB and I can plug it into my laptop.

I used it to peek inside a sick engine. I verified that the valves went up and down, but one piston didn't.

It just occurred to me that I could use it to check the part-number of the motor deep inside my furnace, avoiding an annoying disassembly and extended down-time in the cold.

Nice, mine only has a video out. It's one of those tools you never really need until.... then its the best thing eva. It also came with a grabber assembly and a magnet assembly which I think is going to come in handy.

Mine came with a right-angle mirror that lets you stick it in a spark plug hole and see the valve edges.  I got it at Princess Auto which is the Canadian equivalent of Harbor Freight.  It is a useful tool, but it has a limited field of view and lighting that may not be adequate for every purpose.

Moore's Law in action!
When I was a child, there was a cartoon strip called "Dick Tracy" in the Sunday "funnies". I thought the coolest thing was his "two-way wrist radio" (a videoconferencing device housed in a wristwatch). Seemed like science fiction to me. (of course it was).  :o
Are we there yet?

If it farts, it's probably a biasing problem.   ;)
