Has the forum gone back in time?
It had completely gone west this morning (UK time). The "Recent Posts" summary on the home page shows a couple of posts from earlier in the day, then stuff from the 14th! I posted something in the Lounge last night, but that's disappeared... :-\
No ... it's you
now just imagine what a f**k it would be if the forum went "back to future".
Oh... and here I was hoping that some of my... ahem... less brilliant posts were just bad dreams. :icon_frown:
;D

So sit down and wait as the time goes by.. :D
(I'll inform you because I'm in GMT +2 zone..)

Can you see anything posted after the 14th?? (Other than a couple of posts this morning?)
so is the forum up again, and what day is it today?

Something fell over earlier. I can see stuff on the 15th, but there is a gap after than until a couple hours ago. I guess maybe the forum has a concussion?
Yeh, something happened. I also had a post I made disappear. Nothing profound. It is gone from the thread and it is gone from the list of posts on my profile page.
From what I could see while accessing it, the forum stopped responding, then served a page of posts from 2007, then went into database error.
I suspect it was restored from the last backup, and may have lost the 16th.
so, nothing new to read?

That's OK. My 16th was nothing to write home about anyway.
Sooo, all is lost from the 16th? I'm still having issues viewing parts of the forum. I get an error when I click home and it tells me to contact the admin (not sure how).
I had posted a question about a splitter/loop/mixer project and gotten some helpful responses, should i just repost it when the page eventually responds?
i lost my entire 16 page essay about how to make a flanger/chorus/delay/pitch shifter in one
from a match box, a dead AA battery and a packet of toffo's...wtf.. :icon_evil:

Same here, it took me an embarrassingly long time to wrap my head around something yesterday.

Like, "Why is there more coming out of this kid, than going in?" :D

Seriously! how the heck is there like a cup of poo in a diaper a few times a day? When you factor in all the pee and the fact that he only eats liquid it's pretty amazing.
I thought it may have been because Aron posted a satirical Youtube of Kim-Jong-Un and hackers decided to attack the forum in retaliation. :icon_wink:
Well, Keppy did post a list of mods and fixes to the Ludwig that I did not copy away to the circuits work machine. :icon_eek:
Dang, I was hoping this didn't get lost. At the same time, I'm ok that they whole cosplay Ludwig discussion seems to have vanished ;)

Oh come on, you know it was going to be the highlight of your year to watch the ludwig folks crush the burst box folks. :P
For some reason, the forum backups are screwing us up big time. They are using up all of the disk space. I am in contact with the hosting guys to resolve this problem. Basically the forum is around 5GB in database size (SQL). However, there should be 30G space to backup, but something is eating up all the space (logs and other irritating things).
So I am still working with them on this.
I'm in the process of bringing a new house network server on line, so these issues are near and dear to me at the moment.
30G is not that big. Most places are happy to upgrade storage to keep a loyal customer from eyeballing the competition. The market for web hosting is world wide, and highly competitive.

That MUST be the reason. I am pretty sure Rob would not have posted that video intentionally.
kim jong = lesbian seagull?...yeah makes sense now... :D
R.G. Yes I have way more than 30G but thats how much was free at that moment.
