Can anyone point me to some RELIABLE Compander chips (NE570/SA571) that are less than $5-6 each? :icon_eek:
Does anyone have a good eBay source? They are pretty commonly used chips in Reverbs, Delays, Flangers, etc. so I know I should have some inputs.. ;D
Doesn't Coolaudio make a replacement?

I believe they do. Can anyone attest to their performance?
Also, I see Mammoth has them for $3.50 each. Is that the best I will find?

Appreciate the post but, I will NEVER... EVER... buy from futurlec again! In Stock only means that they know of a place that they can get the parts from with a 3 month delivery time! :icon_evil:
yes they are certainly hit or miss or wait
Looks like they are cheap enough on ebay to take a risk. It is sad that one cannot always get the item they buy off ebay and not have to worry about it being a fake. Good luck.
I believe I got the cool audio ones from small bear for a rocktave divider. good price...

I bought 10x NE570N from this guy on eBay almost 1 year ago. Price in GBP hasn't changed since then.
I can't remember how long it took to get them delivered (they went from Hong Kong to UK), but I do remember not having any unexpected delays.

I purchased these...

upon arrival they tested good.
I don't think that there is any money in relabeling companders.
If anything...they may relabel a NE570 into a NE571....but for all, intents and purposes....they will work the same.
