Anything with 150+ components?
I'd have to go count, but it has to be something like the Ludwig Phase II or the Maestro Rhythm-N-Sound for the Guitar.
Don't know if it "counts", but I was looking at the Digitech GSP2101 (analog distortions + rather ancient DSP) and the BOM stretches over 5 full pages.

Not a pedal.
I'm sure there must be some bigger than the Ludwig. Infinitphase maybe?

Crap, I only just realized that! ;D The Ludwig and Maestro are barely "pedals" as well, to be fair. And I'm sure there are other similar Digitech and/or Boss multieffects in floorboard format.
Quite possibly this: http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Inside_the_ADA_Harmony_Synthesizer One of the last ditch attempts to accomplish in the analog domain what would eventually be done more easily, cheaply, and in a smaller package, in the digital domain.

It is a single effect in a floor pedal format. More detailed review here: http://hammer.ampage.org/files/Device1-4.PDF
If it doesn't win largest parts count...it definitely takes most ICs hands down! 40+
Plus it has a stick of dynamite wired in there.

Yes but try to imagine it with descrete semiconductors items construction... :icon_wink:

For self destruction so it can't be reverse engineered, although it kinda looks like one of the resistors already self destructed on that one
My sense is that the designer likely self-destructed. Aren't you glad you didn't have to work out the layout for that one?

Stompbox fetish?
Masochist pedal builder?
I don't see the correlation. ???
I was just curious. I saw a pic of an A/DA Flanger and wondered what pedal has the most parts.
> Anything with 150+ components?
Not a pedal; but the parts suppliers took out a dozen pages of ads mentioning their products were used in this project.
WABC (AM, NYC) built a new transmitting site in 1942.

I've got a PT2399-based delay design with a part count of 260! I wasn't going to post it because I thought it was too complicated but if anyone is interested??

Post away!!
OK I've put it in the digital & dsp section as it uses a microcontroller (Picaxe). But be warned it's built on vero!
Boss DC2. Over 100 R´s and close to 100 C´s. And the IC´s.
I have a four PT2399 delay in the works, over 100 R´s and 100 C´s. Single sided PCB! Migth end up with full on tendinitis after I build it... and crossed eyes.

smd? how big is the board?

Nope, through hole. About 17 x 7 cm.

large BOM for sadism's sake, of course!
