Title: TL071
Post by: NFX on November 01, 2017, 11:11:38 AM
I have a fair few TL071's, I've not come across any projects that specify use them, can anyone suggest any? Or any existing projects that they are good in.

It's a single op-amp; so you can place it in almost every design that use TL061, TL081, NE5534, LM741, LF356N, etc.

Some Op-amp Big Muff, Red Fuzz, Angry Beard 3, Stone Grey Distortion, DOD 250/MXR Distortion +, and a lot more that I don't remember right now  :)

I like the Proco Rat.

Or use two in place of a dual opamp. Sometimes this makes the layout easier, if there is a lot of circuitry between stages.

Most phaser circuits, for example Phase90, require quite a few op-amps. Since it's a single package, layout is easier.
