I would like to create an attenuator for a 4ohm amp and speaker. I hear one can wire an 8ohm stereo L-Pad in parallel to create a 4ohm L-Pad. Can anyone illustrate this for me?

Sure :)

Pretty much the same way you would connect one normally, just connect both sets of terminals.
