Title: King of tone (rullywow queen of bone)
Post by: baloubass on January 10, 2019, 07:34:50 PM
Hello, i just end the build of  the rullywow queen of bone, the first channel work good, but the second have a bad sound and anormal work.
Firstly i make a mistake and reverse c20 position, then i replace all eletrolytic caps and all the chip. I re-heat all the solder. I check all resistor value on the pcb with the color code, and all caps to.
Now:
-when i turn the gain pot full the sound are just cut.
-when i turn the tone pot full, i have a hiss noise.
Does anyone can indicate me a way to search please. Thank
Schematic are here(last page):

Can you post a few pics of your build?

Check the following resistors;

R8 - 10K (it looks as you may have a 100K installed).
R5 - 10K (hard to see but check it anyway ).
R12 - 6k8 (again, hard to see but check it ).

If everything is OK with those resistors please measure the voltages on the IC pins and post them here. Those measurements can really help diagnose problems.

Very neat build by the way. Looks good.

Resistor are good.
Measure:
Ic1:
1)7,90v
2)8v
3)7,17v
4)0v
5)7,05v
6)7,24v
7)7,47v
8)14,16v

Ic2:
1)7,30v
2)7,34v
3)7,07v
4)0v
5)7,44v
6)6,99v
7)6,72v
8)14,40v

Ic3:
1)8,79v
2)5,38v
3)0v
4)-2,795v
5)-2,760v
6)4,04v
7)4,92v
8)8,20v

I don't know if that's normal, but when i measure the voltage, i have little variation.
An other thing the led of the bad channel(2) are less bright than the other. And i have the same led for both.

I also check the voltage on c22 lug, and i have 15,74v. Schematic value la 18v.

Hello, i don't know, i don't know what i do. Just re-check all and test again, and the pedal work well.
