Title: Electro-Harmonix Reissue Vintage Poly Chorus - Stereo Balance
Post by: polychorus505 on February 25, 2019, 06:23:08 AM
Hi,

I have an Electro-Harmonix Reissue Vintage Poly Chorus with stereo output balance issues when the effect is turned on.

When the effect is off the stereo output is perfectly balanced. When the effect is engaged the Main Output drops by 9-10dB while Output 2 remains at the same level as when the effect is off.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does it sound like a calibration issue?

Thanks for the help!!

You shouldn't expect to get the same response from both outputs.

I haven't seen a schematic for the reissue. But the outputs don't seem to have any form of adjustments from what I can gather. It is what it is.

The main output is just an inverted copy of the stereo output, unless it's something to do with how you're running it, check the voltages of the 5534 op amp inside.
