Title: Pork Barrel 2019 (Boss CE2) Low Output Help!
Post by: mickeybellinello on June 10, 2019, 07:38:07 AM
Hi to all,

I just built my PorkBarrel 2109 Chorus. It works well but I noticed a slight decrease output volume when engaged.

Here's the schematic:

Any ideas? decrease R9, increase R11 or what?

Thanks

Assuming the wet/dry balance is OK, then increasing R11 will increase the gain of that last opamp.

Done the r11 mod... now seems that the situation is better. I used a trimpot so I can adjust precisely the gain.
I also socketed r9 so in case I can adjust this too (is it a good or a bad idea?)...

I can't see a whole lot of point socketing R9 when R11 is a trimmer. I've not had any sockets fail on me yet but it seems like this is a potentially unnecessary point of weakness.
Happy to be corrected as always :)

Changing R9 will affect the wet/dry balance.  You already have a "Blend" pot for that.

Make some tries and the r11 is enough for the gain problem. ;)
