Title: Help getting last part for fuzzface build
Post by: Davelebon on August 01, 2019, 01:03:06 AM
So I am building a silicon fuzz face from the Harold sabro layout on the website and since this is my second pedal I do not know what a VR1 at 10k is. After reading the comments on the layout I learned I can use a variable resistor or a trimpot(I have no idea how these work). So after learning this I bought the parts for the pedal and the 10k ohm trimmer potentiometer I bought at tayda and used, did not fit on the Veroboard.  I believe I bought the wrong part because the legs are too short to fit on the Veroboard. Any reply and help would be greatly appreciated. I want to be directed to which part I need.

i don't use vero boards, but in this case i would temporarily fit a normal 10k pot with wires just to find the right spot at which the fuzz works best(right collector voltage)then take it out of the circuit and measure the corresponding value and put an equivalent resistor on the board

Measure respective pot pads (distance/spacing) on layout and order the suitable one.. :icon_wink:
