Title: Nobles OD-1 (Aion Andromeda) Clarification
Post by: joelo on August 17, 2020, 02:19:37 PM
I am looking or a confirmation that I understand something correctly.

I'm still a rookie and am about to build the Aion Electronics Andromeda. I want to try it with and with out the 2 extra diodes included in the project. I plan to use sockets for D6 and D7. That way I can try the diodes, and take them out and install a jumpers connecting the left and right pad for each D6 and D7. Am I correct in that's how it works?

Here's a link to the documentation:

I guess you mean D5 and D6?

Another simple way is having sockets on the jumper and install a switch.

In this version of the project it says the extra diodes added from the stock version are D6 & D7. Maybe the earlier version was 5 & 6?

As far as a switch, hmmm. I just wanted an easy way to try the stock vs. the project's added 2 diodes. I was assuming I would choose one and then that would be the end of it.

There is no need for permanent switch mount..

By using it, it should more easy to directly compare sound between different diodes..
