Title: Double-checking, polarity question
Post by: Josemitejam on April 24, 2021, 05:51:35 PM
Hi all,

I just wanted to double check this before I do it wrong and destroy three good transistors. I have a pnp zonk machine clone...

...all I need to do to reverse the polarity so I can try out my npn transistors is to reverse the caps and diode and then swap positive and ground rails? The caps and transistors I'm sure of, it's the pos and ground rails/power supply part I'm not sure about. I don't think I would need to change my wiring layout at all.

I'm using this wiring diagram...

Or should I full on switch it to this wiring diagram?

Thanks!

Joe

i think bot ways could work if implemented corretctly,
always wanted to try the zonk machine, but never did, might in the near future breadboard it, since there is some breadboard real-estate coming free this week

cheers
