Title: Is this the correct DPDT numbering for this project?

The vero numbering probably doesn't match your switch drawing, which is unconventional.  Here's a drawing for a Taiway DPDT from their data sheet, where lug 2 swings to 1 & 3 and lug 5 swings to 4 & 6.  Chances are pretty good the vero was drawn for this layout.  You could analyze your circuit to verify that.

there would be a circuit diagram, wouldn't there? it wouldn't need numbers, it would actually show the connections so's you could make any switch work.
