Title: Harmonic Jerkulator with fun clipping circuit!

I love messing with Tim Escobedo circuits. This is his Harmonic Jerkulator but I changed lots of parts to suit my taste and added a clipping circuit at the end. The clipping circuit is inspired by one of Jack Orman's asymmetrical clipping controls he has on his lab notes. He said that a control like that would be a subtle effect but I find that there is a lot of different sounds from that knob on this particular circuit.
The diodes I used are weird. I Intentionally purchased fake 1n34's because I read that their voltage drop was 0.2v, so very nicely clipped sounds from them. (They were also dirt cheap of course)
I like how on the Harmonic Jerkulator/percolator the gain knob just simulates the guitars volume knob, it lets it have a wide gain range since it cleans up so nice and sparkly.
You guys should build it and see for yourself how you think it sounds!

(I should add that this sounds absolutely nothing like a harmonic percolator anymore)

p.s. in case someone asks, c2 being connected to the base of q1 is a schematic error and not in the actual circuit

And Q1 seems drawn upside-down... it's not sure to pass current emitter that way. (It may, and I won't dispute your breadboard.)

I noticed that, that was just how one of the pnp symbols on kicad was. I'll look for a different one. I would have changed it immediately earlier but I put the schematic together in a spare 15 minutes I had

No, it isn't.. :icon_wink:
Q2 & Q1 Emitters must be connected in series..!!

The first one is a direct copy of tim escobedo's schematic besides the c2 error and some parts value changes
