Hi everyone,
Does anyone have the schematic for the Fulltone '69? I had it ages ago, but lost it, unfortunately. I have the Fulltone '70 schematic, if anyone wants to trade. I have the one from RG Keen's FuzzFace article, but I thought my schematic was slightly different.
Thanks,
Luke
The Boutique Fuzz at www.generalguitargadgets.com is basically the '69. Essentially adding the input *bias* pot and the *contour* pot to the basic fuzz face design. I recently had the pleasure of trying a Fulltone '69. Very nice indeed. Great tone and a build quality I can only dream about.
Kerry M
Thanks! Thats the one!
I appreciate your help man!
Cheers,
Luke
Yeppp, this is the 69 layout. I built this one some months ago with the RTS board from the GGG webpage and it sounds great. Very versatile fuzz unit.
Luke, can you send me your '70 pedal schematic at shredgd@hotmail.com, please?
Actually I'm not going to build it but I'm wondering what type of circuit it is!
Giulio
Oh yeah! Luke, send me one too!! I've got several schems from over the years if you need a trade. bucksears@aol.com
Been playing the gigs with that one...What a kick !!!
Luke,
The Boutique Fuzz Face from General Guitar Gadgets.com is the same exact thing as the 69 pedal.
If you get a chance, can you send me the schematic for the 70 pedal please? My email is chiblues86@aol.com
Thanks.
hey!. Can you send one of those 70s schem to me too??. Thanks a lot!!
sfeirwt@infovia.com.ar
consider it done! I have it here somewhere... Ill send it over to you all as soon as I find it.
Cheers
Luke
I found it 8) . I will ahve it in your inboxes shortly
Cheers,
Luke
could i have a copy of the 70 too? please please please!
Hello from a swedish newbee!
I've recently build a Si FF clone with mismatched BC 108B's. It sounds allright but I'm really curious about some mods to it so, Pretty please Luke! Can I too have a copy of the '70 pedal schematic?

Hey, I really like your true-bypass strip! That's a great idea and you did a really nice job on it. It looks like it may be a good application for R.G.'s steel stud enclosure idea. I need to do something like this, as I have some non-true-bypass pedals I want to use (and one with a flaky switch I don't feel like fixing...). :D
Thanks!
Doug
Could someone shoot me a copy of that 70's schem? Thanks.
Hey maybe send a copy to Schematics2!
Hi everyone,
I think I have contacted everyone who wanted a copy. If I have missed you, please send me a message and send it over
Hope yall like it
Cheers,
Luke
Please ?
Hi Luke,
Can I get a copy of that.
Thanks,
Bill
Wouldn't it be easier if somebody posts the schematic on his/her website?
Hi,
Yeah, it pobably would be easier if it was posted on a site...but then any Larry could get their grubby mits on it ;) . It is a *fairly* rare kind of schematic, so people are likely to trade for it; you see, you could trade it for a schematic that you really want.
I am not into the whole 'trading schematics' thing- if someone genuinely wants a particular schematic, I give it to them (exept if its betraying someones trust). I think its nice to be nice, I guess.
The only *rare* schematic that I ever wanted was the Klon Cenataur pedal. It IS out there, apparently, so I havent given up hope yet :)
well,
Take care all,
Luke
Hi Luke,
I just wanted to say thanks for not posting it publicly. :D 8)
I wanted to chime in and I only speak for myself here. I have nothing to do with the design in question.
As a small time boutique pedal builder, I would not mind at all if people were to trade or transfer my designs the way you are. As you point out, anybody could just run with it if it were posted. Posting is the only place where I have problems with any of my schematics being "out there".
If everybody follows your lead, the best of all worlds is achieved. No pedal sales are lost, DIY builders get some cool pedals, and the maximum amount of learning goes on. Cool.
Take care,
-Peter
Hi Luke,
Can you send me a copy as well then?
Luke,
I'd apperciate a copy of the schematic as well.
My e-mail is datilderek (AT) excite (DOT) com
Thanks!
Derek
Hi Luke (or anyone who has gotten the schematic),
I've set my junk mail filter differently now (didn't recieve the schematic).
Could you please try to send it one more time to Grillbeppe@hotmail.com?
I just got to tell you that I'm really impressed with the way you (Luke) and Peter are thinking about sharing of schematics. Maximum sharing of knowledge (not dealing) with no toestepping. :D I wish that all had the same respect for their fellow fx-builder. It is nice to be nice!
Thanks!
Gripp
I hope it's not too late yet.
Can I have schematics of the 70 e-mailed to me too, please?
asterius@hotmail.com
Love a copy too Luke. Thanks mate!

The novelty factor just can't be beat when reading a 'new' [to you] "Mystery Schematic" !!!
Oh I can't resist...i TOO LIKE TO LOOK A NEW SCHEMATICS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS '70 [whoop capslock].
I have an e-mail but can wait if it might help...
Wow... thanks everyone for their kind words and appreciation- especially Peter and Gripp for your comments on the forum. I really hope everyone gets a kick out of the schematic, and supplies a few more ideas.
Thanks a million guys, you have made my day :)
Take care,
Cheers,
Luke
Luke,
Can I have a schematic too? I tried to build one some time ago
and could never figure out why it didn't work although I followed
the schematics I had at that time.
Thanks,
Jan

This is an excellent idea and I like the way you guys are thinking here. :D
I have considered distributing schems by "email-only" too. In particular, I designed a nice (IMO :D ) overdrive a few months ago inspired by an amp design. But to reveal the overdrive schem would give away one of the unique aspects of the amp, which in this case I don't feel like I have the right to post. The amp builder has asked that his designs not be posted (although they make the regular email rounds and from what I can gather that doesn't bother him).
I may consider doing this now, but I'll start another thread if I do...
Thanks for the inspiration!
Doug
Hey All :D
Luke, can I have a copy of that schem too? Please!
Thank you for your time...

Thanks for helping out here Luke...We all appreciate...[I know to use all the help I can get ..lol..]have a good one thanks !!!
LIKE OT BUT
My best buddy [when we lived in Louisiana] was named Luke !!! We used to fix and ride that minibike everyday possible !@!!
You ever wish you could see and talk to again one of your buddies that you knew he had an understanding like you did ???
thanks a lot luke.... :)
anybody got technical info bout this C828? is it a high gain?? whats the gain?? is it low noise type??
thanks...:)
-
-Ralph
i just read that the c828 is a generic replacement like 3904,3906 but it has a different pinout..i wonder if thats why he uses them, so if you try to reverse engineer it, it wont work??
If thats the case, then that C828 has gains of 250 or something...
3904s have gains ranging from 150-250.... :)
cant seem to find the datasheet for C828.... :(
I dunno if its low noise type....
i got this from a site on repairing arcade games..
**NOTE!!! You'll notice that the transistors are labeled as type C828.
C828's are NPN general purpose run of the mill transistors, but they
happen to be packaged differently than the most common transistor. The
C828's have a lead order of EMITTER, COLLECTOR, BASE, instead of what I think of as "normal" for an NPN transistor, EMITTER, BASE, COLLECTOR.
It's not that one is more normal than another, it's just that I don't
normally see this arrangement of transistor. I made the mistake of
directly inserting a 2N3904 in place of the C828 and the circuit DID
NOT WORK. Nothing was harmed, but it doesn't help things any. So, pay
attention when performing this step, and it will insure that you do
things correctly. It took me some debugging, but I finally figured out
that the C828's didn't have the same packaging as the 2N3904's, though
I figured out it was easy to make the 2N3904 look like a C828.
b rogers,
thanks for for the pin info but I know its pins a long time ago....:)
those types have E-C-B pinnings.... even some E-B-C common tranny sometimes have C-B-E but they are ussualy labeled so you dont miss out the correct orientation..... :)
any info if this C828 tranny a low noise one? :)
or is this just an ordinary NPN device....
-Ralph
thats all i could find on it..so i wonder if the schem takes that into account?
nah, doesnt matter neways. ... :)
Im gonna probably use Ge's for the trannys.... :)
BTW, been doin some FF clones using CS9011/ CS9018 (gains of 80-110) with good results...with some tweaking of the 8.2K and 100K.....
I dunno if these trannys are available in your place.... :)
they are just very common here...but I am REALLY having a hard time with 2N5088, 2N5089,MPSA18,BC549,BC550,BC109C...those are NPN high gain low noise types..... wish they were available locally... :)
-Ralph
I missed the initial rush of mailings - if someone can send me the schematic to spam@toothpastefordinner.com I would be your friend forever!
thanks,
