Title: Converting a toggle switch to a foot switch?
Post by: zener on November 20, 2003, 10:17:26 AM
Is this possible? It seems that foot switches are nowhere in my country.
Only DPDT and 3PDT toggle switches are around. If this is possible, what can I use as a button (something from scrap?)? Can anyone describes how it is done (wiring and mechanical).

Thanks for any help

Some Old computers and monitors have good on/off switches you could possibly use,  old cars have dimmer switches for lights.  I am sure there are other appliances that may have switches that you can use.   Put your thinking cap on and start thinking...
Peace!

As I recall, Steve from Small Bear has a thorough description of homebrewing a stomp switch...

Here it is:

you could use "automotive heater switch" as a heavy duty N.O. switch...use the jfet switch that Marcos Munkey has posted in his site...I have my mods made there.....
