Title: Fuzzy Tone in Tremolo
Post by: Oliver on November 21, 2003, 06:49:27 AM
Hi,

i build a KayTremolo (with DepthMod) from www.generalguitargadgets.com.
The Tremolo works fine, but when used with a Humbuckerguitar (SG),
the Tremolo sounds like a Fuzz, when hidding the Strings.

Is there anything i can change to get a clear Tone out of it?

Thanx for Your suggestions !!!

Oliver

sounds like it has too much gain. to fix this you'd have to put a small value resistor from the gain stage transistor emitter to ground. i think maybe 470 ohms should do it but check with someone who knows what theyre doing first

good luck
Jim

The very first effect I built was a tremelo from Practical Electronics back in the early 1970s. This too made a noise like fuzz - never managed to fix it!
