Title: 3pdt/dpdt
Post by: Deep Blue on November 22, 2003, 05:20:44 PM
I'm building a simple passive looper simply by copying the wiring of one I already have.  I've done this before, and it usually works fine.

But the one I have uses a dpdt for bypass, but all I have on hand is 3pdt.  I don't mind using 3pdt, but I'm not sure how to wire it.  Can I wire it the same, but pretend one row of lugs don't exist, or something like that?  Does anyone have an article or something that would explain this to me?

Thanks.

:D Exactly.

Since you have an extra pole on the switch now, you could also use that to switch a status LED if you wanted.

Take care,

Just ignore one set :)

the whole idea is that it's just 3 simultaneous switches operated by the one stomp. Look in the beginner project forum, there's a good explanation there:
